WGH Auxiliary recently hosted the complimentary Annual Volunteer Luncheon to acknowledge and thank our adult volunteers for their time and dedication to our local hospital. The luncheon was held this year at the Conewango Club in Warren with a black and white theme and table centerpieces of top hats graced with spring flowers. Welcome comments were made by Linda Keverline, Auxiliary President. Mr. Rick Allen WGH CEO, thanked those present for their contributions that assisted in WGH receiving recognition in the Top 100 Community Hospitals. The Reverend Marcus Briggs delivered the Invocation before the meal.
In 2017, 142 adult volunteers gave a total of 23,191.05 hours of service to Warren General Hospital. Marking their milestones and expressing her appreciation for their time and energy, the following volunteers received award pins from Volunteer Director, Debra Gray: Patti Benson, Jim Adams, Pryia Khare, Kay Gray, Bonnie Anderson, Yvonne Lee, Stephanie Freitag, Richard Fisher, Connie Mahan, Mary Beyer, Robert Davis, Chance Knapp, Pam Lewis, Pat Perkins, Jennifer Pollack, Mary Massa, Deb Olson, Sirenna Webb, Kathy Keller, Janet Peterson, Dori Jamieson, Tanya Ruzich, Bob Merenick, Sylvia Wurst, Terry Rohlin, Cindy Zaffino, Bobbi Hessley, Barb Graziano, Jill Jackson, Helmuth VanHarte, Linda Youngquist, Gloria Merenick, Margaret Davis, Susan Nosel, Gwenn Scutella, Ben Hagberg, Linda Keverline, Ellen Carlson, Dottie Higgins, Mary Putnam, and Amy Wagner.
Lisa To, Executive Director of the HOSPICE of Warren County was the guest speaker for the event. Lisa gave a brief overview of Hospice and highlighted the satisfaction that volunteers receive from giving of their time and talents. Auxiliary President, Linda Keverline, conducted the annual Auxiliary business meeting. Four new Auxiliary Board members, Ginny Barrett, Mark, Boyle, Judy Schreckengost and Debbie Brewster were introduced. Past Auxiliary Presidents, Gwenn Scutella, Dottie Higgins, and Bette McAmbley, and Past Volunteer Directors, Judy Cerra, Pat O’Dea, and in absentia-Jodi Bevevino were presented with Peace Lilly plants in honor of their service to the Auxiliary.
