Dan Grolemund, CEO of Warren General Hospital

Welcome Home:

New CEO Dan Grolemund’s Vision for Warren General Hospital and Warren Medical Group

Being the CEO of Warren General Hospital is my dream job, and I'm incredibly excited to be here! My connection to this hospital runs deep – I was born here at Warren General Hospital in the 1970s and have lived in this community my entire life.

My path to healthcare wasn't traditional. Growing up, I planned to be a teacher like my father, but a basketball injury at Youngsville High School introduced me to the incredible world of physical rehabilitation at Warren General's RehabWorks. Witnessing the therapists help patients regain their lives—whether it was learning to walk again, speak clearly, or regain daily independence—was truly amazing. That experience changed my life, and I knew I wanted to help others in the same profound way.

I joined RehabWorks in 1999 as an occupational and hand therapist, a role I cherished for 18 years. I soon realized that by leading teams, I could help even more people. This led me to pursue my Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration degrees. From 2017 to 2023, I proudly served as Warren General Hospital's Executive Director of Operations and Practice Administrator of Warren Medical Group.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to serve as President and CEO of LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital. We achieved tremendous success there, launching community initiatives, fostering strong partnerships, and seeing patient volumes and revenue reach all-time highs. In 2024, Corry Memorial Hospital was one of three Pennsylvania hospitals to be recognized with the Chartis Award for outstanding patient experience. While I cherished my time in Corry, the only job I would have left for was to "come back home" to Warren General Hospital. When Rick Allen announced his retirement, I knew this was my chance.

As your CEO, my commitment is clear: Warren General Hospital will provide safe, high-quality healthcare and an outstanding patient experience to every single person who walks through our doors. We understand you have many healthcare options, and our team will work tirelessly to be your preferred choice.

I believe that "A community hospital without its community is just a hospital." Warren General Hospital will be deeply involved with our community, starting with our youth. We will actively engage with Warren County students through hospital tours, job shadowing, career presentations, and scholarship links—just as we did successfully in Corry. With 16 of the 32 fastest-growing careers being in healthcare, developing a homegrown workforce will strengthen both our community and our hospital.

We will also have a strong presence at major community events, showcasing the exceptional providers and services we offer. Most importantly, we are launching a community feedback campaign. I want to hear directly from you about what we're doing well, where we can improve, and what you want to see from Warren General Hospital in the future. Your feedback is vital to ensure we best meet your needs.

Having spent over 23 years at Warren General Hospital, I've built countless valuable relationships. I can't wait to reconnect with our community members and all the dedicated employees of Warren General Hospital and Warren Medical Group.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Pittsfield, attended Youngsville High School, and now live in Warren with my wife, Tracey, and our son, Bryce. We also have our dog, Leo, and cat, Otis. In my free time, I enjoy sports, working outdoors, attending country music concerts, and spending time with my family and pets.
