Our professional respiratory therapists help you feel better and cope with chronic lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, COPD, and Covid-19 as well as acute breathing problems associated with serious or life-threatening conditions such as traumatic injury, heart attack, or stroke.
Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care, and licensed by the state of Pennsylvania, our respiratory therapists are experts in airway management, mechanical ventilation, and other aspects of critical care medicine.
Warren General Hospital’s Respiratory Therapy Department additionally provides our physicians with accurate ,timely, and convenient diagnostic testing and treatments including:
· Invasive and Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation including Bi-pap and CPAP
· Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
· High Flow Oxygen Therapy
· Hyperinflation therapy
· Aerosol Drug Therapy
· Pulmonary hygiene
· Oximetry, ETC02 monitoring
· Home Oxygen Qualification
· Smoking cessation counseling
· COPD education
Pulmonary Testing
The Pulmonary Function Testing or PFT offered at Warren General Hospital features advanced diagnostic services needed to accurately assess and treat lung issues. The PFT Lab includes state-of-the-art testing software and equipment from Vyaire Medical. Our Respiratory Therapists are trained in all aspects of pulmonary function testing. The laboratory is available for outpatient testing Monday through Friday, 8 am until 6 pm with Saturday appointments available upon request.
